2010 Combine Information

Combines will be available at more tourneys this year. We have posted on the "Who's Playing" page for the locations and events that we are planning to have a combine.

Back again this year, IFA will offer performance combines for each age group.  IFA will track the results of all players, at each tournament, and post the top 10 here on the website. We'll update everyone's results each week so the players can track their progress. Results will be posted as 10U, 12U, 14U, and High School.

There is no cost for this - it's a service provided by IFA for 2010

We will contact College Coaches in NC and let them know what we are doing. They will have access to the results on our website. This is a great way to promote your players. They can look each week at the updated results and track your progress. This can be a great tool in your recruiting process.

IFA will be offering a contest within the combines. Contest runs from the Mar 6/7 tourney - Scaremare Oct 26th. We will average all of the results during this period to determine the winners. 1st place in each category will receive a $50 IFA gift card. 2nd place will receive a $25 IFA gift card. To be eligible for this contest, you must participate in at least 10 combines during 2010.

Head Coach - You are responsible for completing a Combine form with your players that want to participate. Please turn this form into Sierra Stewart at the Combine tent. IFA will have designated times during the day on Saturday for the players to participate. Your teams Combine time will be listed on the "Game Times" page. Three pitchers, three catchers, and six runners can participate per tournament.  Pitchers and/or catchers may be one of the runners, but not in addition to (max 6).

Pitcher's Speed:  IFA will clock your pitches with a radar gun and post your highest speed.  You will get two warm-up pitches and three clocked pitches.  (The pitcher will need to provide a catcher)

Catcher's "Pop" Times:  "Pop" time is the time between the moment you catch the pitch (pop) and throw to a fielder at 2nd base (pop).  You will get three attempts at this and we will post your fastest time (You will need to provide a fielder).

Runners:  You will be timed from home to first.  You will have two attempts and we will post your fastest time.
